Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass October 3 of 1962 in Athens to David Lee Thomas Bass, an American U.S. Army sergeant and Vassiliki Papadimitriou, who was a contestant in the 1957 Miss Greece beauty pageant (Greek: Basilike Papademetriou). Athena is his older sister. She is also a drummer. Lee was only two years old [4] when his father brought his family on a trip to the United States. Lee received his first drums at the age of four and his first full-size drum set as an adult. He quit high school to pursue the career of a musician and began with the L.A. club band Suite 19. [5] As a teenager was listening to Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, Kiss, AC/DC and Sweet. His main drumming influences are John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, Alex Van Halen and Terry Bozzio
