LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of the top basketball players. He's often in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most well-known basketball player. James has won two Olympic golds, as well as four NBA titles. James is an NBA All-Star and has the highest number of playoff points. He also has the second highest career point total, and the seventh highest ever assist number. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars and 18 All-NBA Teams and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He's played in ten NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between 2011 and 2018. James was selected to be a member of the NBA75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became the first NBA player in history to earn at least 10,000 points in a career. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he grew up. Media across the country portrayed him as a potential NBA superstar. In 2003, his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft as a pro-to-prep. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of Year He quickly established himself as one of the league's premier players winning an NBA MVP Award in 2010 and 2009. James, who was unable to take home the title in Cleveland, in the year 2010, left as a free agent and signed with his team the Miami Heat. This was made clear as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions taken by a player who was a free agent history.
